The recent scandal surrounding Lizzo has sparked some internet users to suggest that Beyonce is responsible due to her inclusion of the "Juice" singer's name in the remix of her song "Break My Soul."

This assumption, however, fails to consider other factors.

Queen Bey has again taken the music world by storm with her newest song, recognizing an array of 29 influential Black music creatives.

These remarkable individuals include the likes of Kelly Rowland, Bessie Smith, Chlöe Bailey, Erykah Badu, Grace Jones, Janet Jackson, Lauryn Hill, Lizzo, and Madonna.

On Tuesday, August 1, Beyonce took her "Renaissance" tour in Foxborough, Massachusetts. During this time she referred to Erykah Badu only by her last name - a move that has been speculated to be a jab at Badu after she made claims about Beyonce having imitated her style.

Adding to the speculation, a Twitter user commented that "Lizzo has become the latest victim of the so-called 'beyoncé break my soul curse'".

This also follows Beyonce's recent performance in which Lizzo was not included.

In response to a screenshot of song lyrics beginning with Badu, somebody blanked out both her and Lizzo's names.

Another individual then commented "Kelly Rowland next," alongside a crying emoji.

A third user commented, "You know what Lizzo didn't do anything to deserve being mentioned - I didn't like any of her music. Compared to artists such as Snoh Aalegra, Ella Mai, Mahalia, and Jorja Smith, those females are truly dedicating themselves to both R&B and dance music genres."

"By saying this, they made it clear that they felt like Lizzo should not have been featured in the 'Grace Jones' song."

Lizzo has recently been the subject of controversy due to a sexual harassment suit filed against her by three of her former dancers.

Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams, and Noelle Rodriguez all allege that Lizzo's company Big Grrrl Big Touring, as well as dance team captain Shirlene Quigley, created an "overtly sexual" work environment and body shamed them while they worked for the rapper.

The 35-year-old artist is now facing multiple lawsuits stemming from these accusations.

In stark contrast to her public persona, CBS News has reported that the attorney for Lizzo's dancers claims she is guilty of weight-shaming and demeaning them in ways that are both morally reprehensible and legally questionable.

He went on to say that "The stunning nature of how Lizzo and her management team treated their performers seems to go against everything Lizzo stands for publicly."

In light of the recent allegations, public opinion regarding Lizzo has shifted dramatically.

One observer noted in an article about the lawsuit, "Incredible how someone who speaks out against fat shaming could be at the center of this kind of controversy."

Another wrote in response, "It's bizarre to think that just recently she was lamenting being bullied for her size!"

A post reporting that Lizzo weight-shamed her dancers had many people talking, with one person saying "Lizzo has no shame" with regards to fat shaming.

Another user was appalled and tweeted "What a hypocrite" at the idea of Lizzo criticizing her dancers for gaining weight after having previously stated that everyone should "live in their skin." This prompted dismay displayed by many users with an astonished "SMH".
