Past comments from Lizzo about her preference for performing sex shows have been revisited following the lawsuit filed against her by three ex-dancers who claim she forced them to participate.
In an interview with 3FM's DJ Frank van der Lende in 2019, the "About Damn Time" singer gave some insight into her trip to Amsterdam's Red Light District. This area is renowned for its sex theaters, shops, and bars offering a racy night-time experience.
"It was people f****g man. It was crazy. But you know what, it was beautiful."
When Lizzo happened to pass by a sex show, she described the couple involved as being passionate and intimate with each other. Yet her curiosity was piqued more when she heard about another sex show that included fruit in the performance.
Lizzo then asked Frank, "But I'm trying to go to the show where you eat the banana out the p-y. Which one is that?"
"It's the Bananenbar," the DJ answered, to which the "Juice" hitmaker replied, "Oh, that's the Bananenbar? And they have the banana in the coochie and you have to go, [makes biting sound]?"
"I need my potassium if you know what I'm saying. My puss-tassium."
Earlier this week, a lawsuit was filed against Lizzo by three of her former dancers. The suit claims that the "Truth Hurts" singer subjected them to an unpleasant working environment specifically citing an incident from February 2023 in Amsterdam.
According to the document, Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams, and Noelle Rodriguez allege that Lizzo invited them to visit the Red Light District then.
The lawsuit alleged that when Lizzo was present, the atmosphere changed drastically, and "things quickly got out of hand".
The lawsuit further claimed that Lizzo allegedly coerced Davis into touching the breasts of one of the nude performers at an event.
Additionally, a month later, it is claimed that the singer tricked them into attending another nude show without giving them any chance to refuse.
The plaintiffs contend that these actions denied them of their right to choose not to partake in such activities.
A group of plaintiffs have taken legal action against Lizzo, Big Grrrl Big Touring, and Shirlene Quigley, Lizzo's dance captain.
Tuesday saw a tweet from documentary director Sophia Nahli Allison, wherein she revealed that she had seen first-hand how "arrogant, self-centered and unkind" the musician Lizzo is.
This statement followed news of a lawsuit in which her former creative director Quinn Whitney Wilson and dancer Courtney Hollinquest both alleged that they also experienced similar treatment.
