Taylor Swift and Kobe Bryant have one thing in common: they are self-made icons in their respective chosen fields and their legendary careers.

Despite being titans in different industries, Swift and the late NBA player have formed a friendship, especially since the latter's daughters are huge fans of the "Anti-Hero" singer.

Bryant was a special guest at one of the shows during Swift's "1989" world tour, where they shared a heartfelt hug and exchange of words.

Taylor Swift, Kobe Bryant's Friendship Lives On

It has been years since then, but Swift still holds Bryant and his family near and dear to her heart.

During her first night in SoFi Stadium, Swift invited Bianka Bryant near the stage to hand her the iconic "22" hat and give the little girl a big warm hug, just as she had given Bianka's father many years ago, as well as a kiss on the cheek.

It is something like a tradition for Swift to invite fans to come to the very front of her stage where she hands them the "22" hat, which is signed, and gives them a hug or exchanges kind words with them.

It seems like the "Lavender Haze" singer was honoring Bryant by giving his daughter the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Kobe Bryant's Family Are Huge Taylor Swift Fans

According to reports, the rest of Bryant's family attended Swift's "The Eras" tour show and were not only following the tradition of dressing up as Swift's albums, they were also paying tribute to the late basketball icon.

Vanessa Bryant, Bryant's wife, wore a denim jacket with the image of Swift and Bryant printed on the back. It was during the former's show in Staples Center in 2015 during the "1989" tour.

In another part of her denim jacket, Vanessa wrote the lyrics "Say you'll remember me" in honor of Bryant and their daughter Gianna Bryant. The line comes from Swift's song "Wildest Dreams," from the "1989" album.

Bryant and Gianna died in a helicopter crash in January 2020. Swift mourned their loss and expressed her heartbreak in a tweet: "My heart is in pieces hearing the news of this unimaginable tragedy.

"I can't fathom what the families are going through. Kobe meant so much to me and to us all. Sending my prayers, love, and endless condolences to Vanessa and the family and anyone who lost someone on that flight."
