Jamie Foxx offered his deepest apology after his since-deleted Instagram post was tagged "antisemitic."
Foxx, who previously sparked worries due to his mysterious hospitalization, found himself in hot water due to the Instagram post that his followers and fans believed was antisemitic.
"They killed this dude name Jesus ... What do you think they'll do to you???!" he wrote, adding the hashtags #FakeFriend and #FakeLove. He deleted the post shortly after, but the users who saw it condemned the singer-actor.
Jamie Foxx Apologizes After "Antisemitic" Post
In a statement on Saturday, Foxx apologized to the Jewish community and everyone hurt and offended by his choice of words online. He then explained what he really meant when he penned and shared the Instagram update.
"To clarify, I was betrayed by a fake friend and that's what I meant with 'they' not anything more," he said. "I only have love in my heart for everyone. I love and support the Jewish community."
He ended his post by apologizing again and supporting the Jewish community.

Fans left comments under the post, most showing support after Foxx admitted his mistake and apologized.
One, who is Jewish, said that they knew what he meant at the very beginning and did not see the post as an antisemitic remark. The user added that they knew Foxx personally and assured everyone that he would be the last person to ever act antisemitic.

While Foxx received the criticisms firsthand, "Friends" actress Jennifer Aniston also suffered condemnation for "liking" the post. A Wider Frame, a website that provides a better understanding of Jewish-related world news, also called out Foxx over the move.
In her Instagram Story, Aniston clarified that she does not support "any form of antisemitism" and does not tolerate hate of any kind.
Celebrities have been scrutinized for making antisemitic statements over the past months including rapper Kanye West, who reached his downfall due to his anti-Black and antisemitic comments.
Other celebrities who suffered the same include Mel Gibson, Nick Cannon, and Miley Cyrus. House of Dior designer John Galliano and disgraced gaming vlogger PewDiePie were also slammed n the past.
