Taylor Swift was more than content not to see her song used in "Heartstopper" and earn "big bucks."
The same-sex couple Tara (Corinna Brown) and Darcy (Kizzy Edgell) are featured in the season two finale of the coming-of-age Netflix series, and the 33-year-old singer granted permission for her song "seven" from 2020's "folklore" to be used in an emotional scene.
Taylor was only delighted to help them out with the "beautiful" moment, according to music supervisor Matt Biffa, who also emphasized that the show didn't have a vast budget to give the Grammy winner huge royalties.

When one Twitter user wrote: "so you mean THIS heartstopper scene with 'seven' by taylor swift in the background that highlights sapphic love and absolute queer joy, she was willing to get less money because she thought it was beautiful and her song would be perfect for it???? (sic)"
"No, she just thought the scene was beautiful and we were then able to make it work," Biff replied.
Additionally, he said that "sometimes art is more important than money." The hit program also uses music from artists like Wolf Alice and The 1975. The pop singer recently awarded her tour workers incentives totaling $55 million.
Taylor Swift's generosity knows no bounds.

The 'All Too Well' singer gave financial bonuses to her hard-working 'Eras' tour team, which included dancers, riggers, sound technicians, and catering workers. Taylor gave each of her tour truck drivers a $100,000 incentive, according to a recent TMZ report.
She gave the truckers who had been transporting her equipment across the USA their six-figure incentives. Taylor reportedly hired 50 truck drivers for the tour, which translates to $5 million in compensation for just them.
One billion dollars have already been spent on tickets for Taylor's national tour. She began the 'Eras' tour in Glendale, Arizona, in March, and is wrapping up the initial US leg this week with two concerts as part of her six sold-out performances at Inglewood's SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. After leaving for Mexico at the end of August, Taylor will continue her tour through Europe, Asia, and Australia in 2024. She has also recently added extra US and Canadian concerts for that year.
