Taylor Swift has vowed to release "as many albums as humanly possible" and acknowledged that performing live is still her "coping mechanism".
The 'Shake It Off' hitmaker wants to maintain her relationship with her Swifties as long as she can by making new music that they will enjoy. Taylor reportedly revealed the why she did not tour for so long before the present one.
She said the the reason they did not tour for five years was merely attributable to scheduling. Touring now feels so good because performing live has always been her coping strategy. This is why she loves it when fans nod their heads, look into her eyes, or sing along. All of these make her feel her songs, which are all about her feelings, are reasonating with others.
She then said that knowing how great she feels about singing for fans, she would make and release "as many albums as humanly possible."
Following a masters ownership dispute with her old record company, Big Machine Records, its founder Scott Borchetta, and its current owner Scooter Braun, the 'Anti-Hero' hitmaker is working her way through re-recording her first six albums. 'Fearless (Taylor's Version), 'Red (Taylor's Version),' and 'Speak Now (Taylor's Version)' are the songs she has so far released. The 'Eras Tour' has recently been extended once more by Taylor, who has added extra dates in the US and Canada.
The 'Karma' hitmaker was scheduled to wrap up the American leg of the tour this week after six nights at Los Angeles' SoFi Stadium, but she has now announced she will be returning to the United States in October of next year for shows in Miami, Florida; New Orleans, Louisiana; and Indianapolis, Indiana, playing three nights in each city, before six dates at the Rogers Centre in Toronto. The American leg of the tour began on March 17 in Glendale, Arizona.
The "Cruel Summer" singer tweeted the dates and referenced a statement from Justin Trudeau, the prime minister of Canada.
As early as now though, fans think Swift already has some new songs and albums to drop very soon. With one social media post only days before she came in Los Angeles to begin her six-night residency at the enormous SoFi Stadium, the venue prompted rumors regarding the next phase of her career. She may be re-recording 1989 (Taylor's Version) in the future, according to one photograph uploaded on the stadium's official Twitter account.
This is a pretty clear indicator of what was intended because the upload included an edited photo of a lifeguard station with those words written on it.
But just as it appeared that 1989 (Taylor's Version) would be the fourth in her series of re-recordings, the situation was reversed. A few days ago, a clip from the AmazonAMZN +1.9% television program "The Summer I Turned Pretty" started making the rounds online.
The video, which portrays two series actors swimming in a pool in what is obviously meant to be a love scene, is set to an updated version of Swift's "Delicate" as the song's background music.
The song is almost certainly known as "Delicate (Taylor's Version)" because her fans caught on to it quickly and understood it was probably made for the re-recording of her album Reputation.
