It's confirmed! Taylor Swift will be having a series of concerts in the United States for the second time in 2024 after her successful run with "The Eras Tour" over the past few months. Tickets will be available on August 11, but there are fans who are already having a hard time with the pre-sale; what does being "waitlisted" mean?
According to KCCI, Swifties expressed their dismay online as they are still unsure on whether they have a chance to see the musician live after getting a waitlist notification from Ticketmaster.
Some of the hopeful attendees already registered for a presale code before August 3, 2023, as the tickets for her Miami, New Orleans, Indianapolis, and Toronto began rolling out tickets on August 9 and 10.
However, there were users who got disappointed as they never received any presale code and they were placed under a waitlist.
What Does 'Waitlist' Mean in Ticketmaster For Taylor Swift's 'The Eras Tour'?
Per the outlet, being on a waitlist means fans will still have a chance to purchase tickets for their desired tour dates.
However, they are not the number one priority of Ticketmaster as they will be allowed to buy passes once those who had a presale code already purchased theirs.
It's unclear if fans who are on the waitlist will get a chance to buy passes for the concert as Ticketmaster announced that, " "due to the high demand, we expect all tickets to be purchased during the Verified Fan Onsale."
As of this writing, there are still no resolution about the matter.
Amid all the ticket drama, fans expressed their disappointment online, as one user wrote, "I've been to 4 Taylor Swift concerts, got immediate access to tickets for the Eras tour the first time around and you're going to waitlist me for the 2nd US leg."
"Raise your hand if you have been personally victimized by @Ticketmaster," another one wrote.
