Paul McCartney's daughter opened up about the struggles she has gone through so far as someone related to the member of the world's biggest band.
Celebrities' children earn the nickname Nepotism babies, or nepo babies, as they become successful in their careers, similar to their parents or relatives. The term, however, is not usually a compliment, even for McCartney's daughter.
Paul McCartney's Daughter Stella Opens Up About Being a Nepo Baby
Stella Nina McCartney, the daughter of The Beatles' member, recently shared the challenges she has to deal with since being a daughter of a famous father comes with difficulties.
Although McCartney had already made their family name a strong-sounding one, Stella - a fashion designer - bloomed on her own and built her own empire in the fashion industry. In 2001, she launched her self-titled brand, producing sustainable collections.

While she knows that her famous surname helped her secure a spot in the spotlight, she revealed the problems she faced while creating her own world.
In her interview with TIME, Stella disclosed the moments when she was challenged to change her morals to contribute to the success of the company.
"As one of the first nepo babies, I had the privilege of choice," she said. "I'm very aware of how lucky I've been to be accepted to work in this way since day one."
Having a Famous Father "Toughened" Them Up
The 81-year-old Grammy-winning patriarch also told TIME about his children's upbringings and how having him as their father toughened Stella and her siblings.
McCartney also took his time to look back at his daughter's early interest in clothing, like how she used to search for something in their closet to create outfits.
Despite McCartney's name giving Stella a little push, the fashion designer soon needed to prove herself when she attended Central St. Martins in London. The college is considered a prestigious art and design school in the area.
"I said, if she doesn't do well at the end of that year, then the name is not something to help, it's a cudgel to beat her with. But she did well," McCartney continued.
The father-daughter tandem's statement about nepo babies resonated with what other celebrities said about the hot topic.
In December, Jamie Lee Curtis called herself an "OG Nepo Baby" who did not have a day without anyone reminding them she is the daughter of famous people.
