Although he is in the process of separating from his spouse, the relationship between Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater is still progressing.

The two reportedly met while both partaking in filming for "Wicked" in England.

Rumors began swirling that Ariana and Ethan had been spotted spending time together, prompting speculation of a relationship.

At the end of July, it was officially confirmed that the pop star had ended her marriage to Dalton Gomez and had begun dating the "Spongebob Squarepants" actor.

At the same time that the "Thank U Next" singer's break from her husband had people talking, there was also a lot of speculation about her absence of a wedding ring when she attended Wimbledon.

When news spread of the relationship between Ariana and Ethan, Lilly Jay, Ethan's wife of five years, expressed that she felt utterly taken aback.

This was shortly followed by reports that Ethan had initiated divorce proceedings to continue his romance with the "God Is A Woman" diva.

According to a source who spoke to Entertainment Tonight, the relationship between the couple is still flourishing as they wait for Ethan to divorce from his wife - the mother of their 11-month-old child - to reach its conclusion.

Amid his current predicament, the source reported that Ethan is trying to remain friendly with Lilly.

Moreover, he is taking pains to be a good father and wishes to maintain his family life away from the public domain despite his relationship with Ariana garnering international attention.

Ariana and her new significant other are reportedly going through a difficult time, yet she considers their partner's needs by providing them with space.

Nonetheless, it is said that things are progressing between them in terms of their relationship.

In a statement to Page Six, the ex-wife of Ethan talked about her family being "collateral damage" due to the circumstances.

She added that Ariana is "not a girl's girl." The woman spoke passionately: "My priority right now is to create security for my son, and that is all I'm concentrating on."
