Tory Lanez's doctor, who treated his hair loss, wrote a letter to the court before sentencing and "asked for mercy."
Lanez received a 10-year sentence after he was found guilty of shooting Megan Thee Stallion in 2020. Legal Affairs and Trials reporter Meghann Cuniff revealed that Iggy Azalea penned a letter saying that the rapper is not an abuser, but it turned out that she was not the only one who sought leniency for Lanez.
Tory Lanez Receives Support From Doctor
Cuniff shared a copy of the letter penned by Dr. Craig L. Ziering of Ziering Medical on Twitter, which the physician wrote before Lanez was sentenced.
In the letter, Dr. Ziering said he met the male rapper - whose real name is Daystar Peterson - when he sought a consultation regarding his hair loss in 2018. He revealed in the letter that Lanez helped his business and other people suffering from hair loss, as well.
"Since that time he has helped countless numbers of people suffering from Hair loss by sharing his journey publicly, via print, social media, online, radio and podcasts with his own time, money and resources," he said.

Dr. Ziering noted in the letter that they had business plans together, including helping the African-American community and building outreach clinics to promote affordable but quality healthcare for all.
Like Azalea, the physician asked the judge to show Lanez mercy before the sentencing and allow him to continue helping others through their valuable mission. Per the hair transplant surgeon, he knows the charges against Lanez were serious, but he insisted that the rapper "will never put himself in the situation that he is in again."
Iggy Azalea Tries To Save Tory Lanez
Prior to the release of Dr. Ziering's letter, the reporter cited another communication from the "Go Hard or Go Home" rapper in which she defended Lanez and stated that she is a victim of abuse herself.
"He said this is an opportunity to humble himself and soften his heart - ironic to hear one of the kindest people I know strive to become even kinder," she noted in the letter. "I'm not shocked - It's who he is. Watering and shining a light on others until something beautiful grows."
Lanez ended up receiving 10 years in prison sentence for shooting Megan Thee Stallion in the foot after leaving a Los Angeles party in 2020. The jury convicted him of three felony charges, but he pleaded not guilty to the other crimes.
