Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello and the newly-reborn Japanese metal band, Babymetal, will make fans bang their heads once they release their collaboration song.
Morello and Babymetal confirmed they would work on a new song following the Japanese band's previous collaboration with Lil Uzi Vert. It would be Babymetal's first song with its new member, Momometal.
Tom Morello, Baby Metal's New Song: Title, Release Date Confirmed
On Babymetal's official Instagram page, it revealed that its coming collaborative song with Morello would be called "METAL!!" The track will reportedly have a lively tempo as they made it based on the idea of a summer festival in a metal village.
The press release also confirmed that the musicians would drop it on August 18.
"I am a big fan of Babymetal, a band that is both power rocking and constantly surprising with dizzying musical twists and turns," Morello said in a statement, per NME. "I've been trying to work with them for some time and when they sent me the demo of 'METALI!!' I knew I could rock that sh*t like crazy!"
The project will arrive ahead of Babymetal's scheduled UK tour in November and appearance at the Louder Than Life Festival at Highland Festival Grounds from September 21 to 24. Foo Fighters, Avenged Sevenfold, and Green Day will headline the latter festival, which will also feature Queens of the Stone Age, Limp Bizkit, and Weezer, to name a few.
Su-Metal and Moametal continued Babymetal's career after original member Yuimetal left the band in 2018. It recently welcomed its new member, Momometal, whose real name is Momoko Okazaki. She famously participated in the survival show "Girls Planet 999" and served as the band's backup dancer.
Tom Morello, Post Malone Worked on Track Together
Aside from Babymetal, Morello revealed he worked on a song with Post Malone which was like the latter's "Beat It."
"We worked out a pretty sick jam... [it] felt like it could be, for him, like his 'Beat It'- Michael Jackson, a big pop star, paired with Eddie Van Halen and made something that no one had expected. 'This could be your 'Beat It,' dude!'" he told Allison Hagendorf during his appearance on her show.
The guitarist noted that the jam happened after learning that Post Malone was a fan of rock, so they decided to go into the studio together.
