Ex-Mötley Crüe member John Corabi talked about John 5 joining the band after Mick Mars announced his touring retirement.

Corabi and John 5 share a similar fate as they joined Mötley Crüe as replacements for other members. The former frontman replaced the original singer, Vince Neil, while the new guitarist was tapped to replace Mars.

John Corabi Shares Opinion About John 5 As New Mötley Crüe Member

Corabi spoke candidly about John 5's current status in Mötley Crüe during his recent interview with Clint Switzer of the "On The Road To Rock" podcast. The new guitarist was welcomed on board as Mars, the founding member, deals with the effects of his chronic ankylosing spondylitis (AS) diagnosis.

The former frontman expressed his love for John 5 and said he has nothing but mad respect for the great musician since he has known him for years. He also revealed that his manager used to manage John 5, as well, so he knows how "insanely talented guitar player" Mars' replacement is.

Unfortunately, John 5 entered when Mars and Mötley Crüe started embroiling in a legal battle filed by the founding guitarist. For what it's worth, Mars alleged the band members tried to remove him as a significant member of the group, both as a musician and a stakeholder.

But according to Corabi, none of the developments surprised him.

"You know what I mean? I had to deal with the fans that were massive Vince Neil fans, and I get it," he noted. "And it was awkward at times to sit and listen to the guys do interviews where they went out of their way to slag Vince."

Corabi, on the other hand, maintained that he does not envy John 5 at this point. He noted that the new member is in a "weird position," but he is doing the great gig that was offered to him.

John Corabi Not Agreeing in Mick Mars VS Mötley Crüe

The former frontman's statement came after he revealed in his previous interviews that he did not agree with the totality of the legal battle between the band and the member.

He told We Got To 11's Ruben Mosqueda that Mars was pissed after the development, though he clarified he did not know whether the guitarist was "rightly pissed or wrongly pissed."
