Carrie Underwood Announces Pregnancy, Expecting First Child With Husband Mike Fisher

Congratulations are in order.

Carrie Underwood announced Monday that she and her husband Mike Fisher are expecting their first child.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Underwood took to Twitter to reveal the news with help from her two dogs dressed in blue and pink shirts reading, "I am going to be a Big Brother" and "I am going to be a Big Sister."

"In honor of 'Labor' Day... Ace & Penny would like to make an announcement," she tweeted along with the photo. "Their parents couldn't be happier."

Fisher also took to Twitter to confirm the big news. He hinted about future baby names, too.

"We haven't picked names yet but it's looking like Fly is gonna fly. #boyorgirl #flyfisher," the professional hockey player said.

Underwood and Fisher have been married since July 2010.

As previously reported by Classicalite, rumors began to swirl that the two were headed towards divorce due to the country music singer's refusal to get pregnant.

Nonetheless, it has been a big year for Underwood. She is performing the new Sunday Night Football opener and starred in The Sound of Music Live!, which received four nominations for this year's Primetime Emmy Awards including Outstanding Music Direction, Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special, Outstanding Special Class Program and Outstanding Technical Direction, Camerawork, Video Control for a Miniseries, Movie or a Special.
