In early 2023, Lisa Marie, the daughter of iconic entertainer Elvis Presley, tragically passed away at 54.

An autopsy revealed Lisa Marie Presley's death had been caused by a small bowel obstruction, not cardiac arrest.

For some time, Lisa Marie had been dealing with chronic health issues. In those final few months of her life, the situation only seemed to worsen.

It has been suggested that a few signals were overlooked months prior by the late singer, such as being plagued by nausea, abdominal pain, vomiting, cardiac troubles, and persistent fevers.

Reports revealed that during treatment in hospital, she had trouble with her heart which led to fitting of a pacemaker for temporary relief; yet even this was not enough, ultimately leading up to cardiac arrest after which she passed on 20 minutes later.

Sadly, when the end eventually arrived, nobody was surprised at all.

In a conversation with The Sun, renowned Elvis historian Sally Hoedel reported that Lisa Marie Presley had dealt with digestive issues for her entire life.

According to her, Lisa Marie referred to this as the "chronic Presley problem," having experienced it since she was young.

It is true that, as Sally highlighted, Lisa Marie Presley's bowel obstruction isn't necessarily linked to how Elvis passed away; however, the King did suffer from similar ailments throughout his lifetime.

Although it was eventually recorded that Elvis passed away due to a cardiac arrest, he also experienced various health conditions - including digestive difficulties - just like his only daughter.

Sally noted that Elvis and Lisa Marie had battled a life-long bowel disorder since early childhood.

His medication did not cause this, though it may have exacerbated the constipation issue.

Evidence exists that the dad-of-one struggled with this particular health problem as a toddler and teenager before he rose to fame and began taking prescribed drugs. Lisa Marie also confirmed the affliction's long-term presence in her life.

Although usually associated with weight loss, Lisa Marie's weight-loss surgery was also a potential remedy for her life-long digestive pain. According to Sally, this agony had become an accepted part of life for the famous daughter.

Consequently, it could be speculated that the procedure was sought to relieve Lisa Marie from this unremitting discomfort.

In the autopsy of Lisa Marie Presley, many similarities were recognized in comparison to her father's health problems.

Consequently, these markers may allude to a genetic factor in her death.
