Celine Dion's health condition has not improved, but the singer is said to be more determined to beat her stiff-person syndrome diagnosis and return to the stage soon.
Dion has been out of the spotlight since she announced her break to focus on her recovery amid her stiff-person syndrome battle. While she continues to search for a cure and treatment to control the progressive disorder, sources recently revealed that the crooner is "very eager" to recuperate and perform again.
Celine Dion Aims To Return Soon
In a statement to In Touch Weekly (via OK! Magazine), sources revealed that the "To Love You More" hitmaker wants to beat the disease "with everything she's got."
"It broke Celine's heart to have to say goodbye to her fans," an insider said. "But she intends to fight this with everything she's got. She's so brave."
Dion's sister, Claudette, previously told the Canadian publication Le Journal de Montréal that Dion and the whole family find it hard to find medicines that could help in her health battle.
She is also said to be listening to top researchers of the rare disease while searching for effective treatment and medicine.
"At one point, your heart and your body are trying to tell you something. It's important to listen to it," she said. "It's innate to her, she's disciplined in every area of her life. We can't find any medicine that works, but having hope is important."
Celine Dion's Health Battle Led To the Cancelation of Her Tour
While she wants to meet her fans through her show, the "The Power of Love" hitmaker decided to cancel her concerts "to be fair to the fans." She also apologized to her fans for postponing shows, which was not fair to her fans.
Yale Medicine explains Celine Dion's health diagnosis as something that leads muscles in the limbs and torso to suffer spasms and rigidity. These episodes can be triggered by loud noises, emotional distress, and other certain stimuli, although they can also happen randomly.
Before her stiff-person diagnosis, Dion also struggled with more health issues, including patulous eustachian tube dysfunction that caused her to undergo ear surgery.
