Diddy is resurrecting R&B with his upcoming release, "The Love Album: Off The Grid," which is slated for a September 15 release.
This will be the rapper slash mogul's first musical project since his 2006 album "Press Play," and he wants to go all-out on this one.
Diddy teased the new album with a video over three minutes long. He began with the question: "Why am I doing this?"
"Especially with the success that I had, especially where my life is, how stressful and treacherous this music industry is; why would I just come back in here and do something that I don't have to do?"
"My heart has been broken. I still have that question of, like, 'Will I ever love again?'"

Diddy's New Album
Aside from the pressures and negative aspects that the rapper cited at the beginning of his trailer, he also showed the behind the scenes of him making the album.
Diddy showed his fans just how hands-on he was with the entire process, working with the various artists and guiding them through the recording sessions.
Perhaps this is the rapper's way of showing just how far he has gone after retreating into his private island. "The Love Album: Off the Grid" will cover themes of mental health as well as his journey dealing with love and loss.
"I had to go off the grid in order to really lock in," he said in the teaser. "I was so addicted to my phone, so addicted to my work, so addicted to bulls**t."
Fans expressed their excitement in the comments: "Those few bars and beats in this trailer better than most albums that drop the last few years."
"It's just not surprising why he changed his nickname to love, he's those kinda people who cannot be unloved by others. Loved you since I was a child and still do and always will."
"Waiting so long for a nice diddy album ....and hope this come also to Netflix..."
