AXS TV will present a new original listicle series featuring the world's greatest rockers.
AXS TV confirmed its partnership with Spin magazine to create the series, "Spin 100 Greatest Rock Stars." Here's everything to know about the flick.
What Is "Spin 100 Greatest Rock Stars"?
The upcoming show will explore the magazine's "100 Greatest Rock Stars Since That Was A Thing" feature which Spin founder Bob Guccione Jr. created.
According to the press release (via Blabbermouth), it will share a detailed listing of the 100 greatest musicians who lived by their names as rock stars.
Who Will Be Featured in "Spin 100 Greatest Rock Stars"?
Currently, the confirmed artists who will be featured in the series include Bob Marley, Gwen Stefani, David Bowie, Elvis Presley, Kurt Cobain, Jimi Hendrix, Eminem, Jimmy Page, and Stevie Nicks, to name a few.
It will also put the spotlight on artists like Sammy Hagar, Angus Young, Brian Wilson, Bruno Major, Bob Mould, Dee Snider, Carnie Wilson, Steve Vai, David Archuleta, and more.
According to Guccione, the list is invariably "bs," so they did everything to ensure they would not make a B.S. list.
"A rock star is, perhaps by definition, undefinable. They just are," the feature maker said. "They're luminescent. Even when, in some cases, they didn't want to be. I'm excited to bring this list to life with AXS TV! They have a great audience of dedicated and knowledgeable music fans. They'll let us know what they think!"
Meanwhile, AXS TV vice president of programming and the series executive producer Katie Daryl expressed her excitement to share the show with the help of Spin. The series will reportedly celebrate the lives of legendary rock stars and open more collaborations in the future with partners and other music brands.
For what it's worth, Spin has since expanded its empire by collaborating with different companies over the past years, including Amazon Freevee and Urban Outfitters.
"Spin 100 Greatest Rock Stars" Release Date, Time
The original listicle series will premiere on October 2 at 8 p.m. ET. Details on where and how to watch the series are yet to be confirmed.
