Elton John Health Update: Legendary Singer ‘Immediately Discharged’ From Hospital After Fall

Fans were worried after news about Elton John falling at his home in the south of France made rounds online, but it appears that the musician's current condition is now stable as he was able to go home immediately after a short visit at the hospital.

According to a spokesperson for the singer who spoke with Billboard, the "Hold Me Closer" hitmaker visited a local hospital "as a precautionary measure."

The insider noted that John was "immediately discharged" after his hospitalization and is currently back at his home. The source further assured fans that the legend is now "in good health."

Per the BBC, the singer had been spending his time in France with his husband, David Furnish, along with their two children.

The musician was said to be in his south of France villa as a summer getaway after his successful and long-running "Farewell Yellow Brick Road" tour.

His latest tour would reportedly be the last time he would perform at live tour shows, but he assured his supporters that he will still perform at occasional events.

The latest news comes a few months after the "Cold Heart" hitmaker was photographed using a wheelchair at Leipzig Airport in Germany.

At the time, he donned a Gucci track suit and a mask. He was sitting in a wheelchair around the famous airport, but he clarified what truly happened in a post.

In a statement shared on social media, John took his time to express his gratitude to supporters for reaching out about his health.

He wanted to clarify about the story of him "looking frail" in tabloids by saying that he is in "top health" and performing at his shows proves it.

He later explained that after performing for two hours in Germany, he and his team arrived at the airport before curfew and there was a part of the area that was already closed.

In order to get to the plane, they were required to go on an "extremely long walk" so his team told him that he should use a wheelchair in order to rest.

"My team kindly laid on a wheelchair so I could rest my hip after doing the show. That's all folks," he noted.
