According to Page Six, the star is a member of the labor union SAG-AFTRA and they have been on strike since summer as they wanted production companies to pay workers in the entertainment industry fairly.
Since the actor is already done filming his only new project titled "Grand Death Lotto," directed by Paul Feig, he is now left with no upcoming projects in line for him.
In addition to the comedy movie, he also has a small role in the series "Special Ops: Lioness" starring Nicole Kidman, Laysla De Oliveira, Zoe Saldana, and more.
The TV show already premiered in Paramount+ last month, but the red carpet premiere was canceled due to the ongoing strike.

According to an insider who spoke with the outlet, Sam Asghari is still "looking for his big break" despite already starring in film projects in the past.
As listed on IMDb, the actor first starred in Fifth Harmony and Ty Dolla Sign's music video for "Work from Home." He also starred in Britney Spears and Tinashe's visuals for the track "Slumber Party" where they reportedly first met.
Other TV and film credits include "Can You Keep a Secret," "NCIS," "The Family Business," "Black Monday," "When We Grow Up," "Hacks," "PBC," "Dollface" and many more.

The recent news comes after a news outlet reported that Asghari is planning to further his career in the world of acting once the SAG-AFTRA strike ends.
Aside from acting in television programs and movies, he is also interested in hosting.
Regarding his previous work, which was being a fitness trainer, the outlet noted that Asghari has no plans on returning.
Currently, the actor is doing his best to take care of his family, especially his mother in Los Angeles as she was just discharged from the hospital after being injured due to an accident.
