In addition to her career move, it was reported that the musician parted ways with her former manager Scooter Braun last month. She had been working with the embattled manager for years now.
Rolling Stone reported that the separation between the two has now been confirmed. The outlet noted that the professional relationship began in 2019, over a year after her overdose.
She was said to be the one who personally asked Braun to relaunch her career after spending some time in a rehabilitation facility.
At first, he didn't want to take her as a client but later revealed that he needed to work with her.
In other updates, Demi Lovato is currently nominated for two awards at this year's MTV Video Music Awards. She would also perform during the ceremony.
