During her Eras Tour stop in Mexico City, Taylor Swift seemed to poke fun at Kanye West by bringing up their historic run-in at the Video Music Awards.

Amidst her remarks to the crowd during her weekend performance, the 33-year-old hitmaker of Bad Blood was momentarily rendered dumbfounded by the sudden eruption of "Taylor' chants.

As seen in a TikTok from the Sunday concert uploaded by sincerelynydia, the singer-songwriter then said to the audience that the best way to be interrupted, by the way, is just people chanting your name.

"it's really the only way to be interrupted, and I would know," Swift continued, seemingly alluding to Kanye's, 46, disruption from 14 years prior.

When Taylor, then 19 years old, was accepting her award for Best Female Video in the 2009 MTV VMAs, Kanye stormed the stage and said that Beyonce's music video should have won instead of Taylor's. Kanye took the microphone from Taylor during the live broadcast and informed the crowd that Beyoncé's "Single Ladies" video should have won instead of Taylor's "You Belong With Me."

On stage, Kanye exclaimed, "Yo, Taylor, I'm really happy for you, I'mma let you finish." 'But Beyoncé has one of the greatest music videos ever!' Easily one of the greatest videos ever made!

The two musicians have been at odds for a long time, even though their encounter happened so long ago.

Throughout her tour, Taylor has already made references to her battle with the rapper Donda. During her performance at Lumen Field in Seattle in July, Swift made fun of the notion of pardoning her longtime rival Kanye.

The Grammy Award winner made the decision to sing her diss tune against West, "This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things," for the first time in five years.

Swift started giggling while singing an acoustic rendition of the song and stated, "And here's to you, 'cause forgiveness is a nice thing to do," referring to West.

'I can't even speak it with a straight face,' the singer admitted, laughing even harder.

The publication of Kanye West's 2016 song "Famous" caused things to blow up, even though the musical icons looked to be getting along better in the years after the VMAs-they were photographed at several events in those years.

At the time, West asserted that Swift had given him permission to call her a "B****" in the song's lyrics, alluding to the VMAs event. Swift claimed she never made such a deal, and after West and his now-ex-wife Kim Kardashian published a call between West and Swift regarding the song's substance in July 2016, the two became embroiled in a public spat.
