After attending the opening of her father's boyhood home last month, Rosanne Cash is staying busy. The oldest child of the late Johnny Cash is up for three awards at the 2014 Americana Honors & Awards show and she's slated to perform at the ceremony along with Buddy Miller, Flaco Jimenez, Hurray for the Riff Raff, Jackson Browne, Loretta Lynn, Marty Stuart, Patty Griffin, Rodney Crowell, Ry Cooder, St. Paul & the Broken Bones, Sturgill Simpson, and Taj Mahal.
Roseanne is up for ...
- Album of the Year for The River And The Thread
- Artist of the Year
- Song of the Year for "A Feather's Not A Bird"
The awards ceremony will be held on September 17, 2014 at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN as part of the Americana Music Festival - held September 17-21, 2014 at venues throughout Music City.
Of course, being a Cash, Rosanne isn't sitting still before or after the ceremony. She's touring with her band as well as with John Leventhal as a duo in the time leading up to the awards and well after (through early December).
