Craig David Cancels Show: Real Reason Why Sussex Performance is Scrapped

Craig David informed his supporters on Instagram on Friday that he was postponing his gig for this coming weekend.

The musician announced that "unexpected circumstances" will prevent him from performing at Wiston Summer Sounds on Friday, September 8 at Wiston Estate Park.

The 42-year-old assured supporters that all tickets would be returned, but he did not elaborate on why he was calling off the performance. Craig is still set to play St Albans' Pub In The Park on September 9 before returning to Ibiza the following week for Ibiza Rocks.

"Due to unexpected circumstances, sadly next week's show on September 8th at Wiston Estate Park for Wiston Summer Sounds has been cancelled," he wrote on his Instagram.

The celebrity received a ton of support when he shared the same comment on Twitter.

However, Craig had no say in the cancellation and it was not his decision. Due to what is thought to be a venue problem, all of the acts scheduled to appear at the event have been canceled.

Additionally, a statement from the event organizers explains that the cancellation was brought on by "unexpected circumstances" that affected the organization of the event.

Craig was scheduled to perform his renowned TS5 live show in West Sussex for the Wiston Summer Sounds festival, a one-night event that would take place in Miami. Massive classic tunes ranging from Garage to Bashment, R&B to Swing, and more are blended in with the newest House singles that are ruling the charts.

Meanwhile, Craig David and Katherine Jenkins will headline the star-studded lineup for the West Sussex outdoor music series in the meantime.

Craig David, Katherine Jenkins, Russell Watson, Soft Cell, ABC, and Heaven 17 are among the performers at this year's festival. The festival will take place over three days in the grounds of Wiston Estate Park, which is encircled by 6,000 acres of parkland. On Friday, September 8, the first night of the event, Craig David will present his TS5 show.

The amazing Soft Cell, ABC, and Heaven 17 will perform on Saturday, September 9. On Sunday, September 10, the line-up will be completed by classical superstar Katherine Jenkins and her very special guest Russell Watson.
