Beyonce Bio
Beyonce Giselle Knowles-Carter (professionally known as Beyonce) was born on September 4, 1981 in Houston, Texas. Beyonce started performing when she was seven years old. The then-aspiring singer was able to win more than 30 local competitions in dancing and singing, as per All Music.
Beyonce and Destiny's Child
Beyonce started her music career by joining an all-girl vocal group called Destiny's Child. While Beyonce was only a teen, she joined her cousin, Kelly Rowland, and classmates, La Tavia Roberson and Le Toya Luckett in forming a singing group. Queen Bey's father, Mathew Knowles, took over as the group's manager, after he had resigned from his full-time job.
After having released four studio albums, Destiny's Child had become the best-selling female group at the time. Among the hits Destiny's Child had under their belts were "Jumpin' Jumpin'", "Bills, Bills, Bills", "Say My Name", and "Survivor." The group coped through the lawsuits that former members Roberson and Luckett filed. New member, Michelle Williams, soon joined Beyonce and Kelly Rowland as the new member of Destiny's Child.
Beyonce Solo Music Career
Beyonce's eventual pursuance of a solo music career after Destiny's Child's disbandment saw her to had become the first African-American female artist and second woman to win the yearly ASCAP Pop Songwriter of the Year award. At this stage of her career, Queen Bey also appeared in the MTV drama, "Carmen: A Hip Hop Opera."
Beyonce's debut solo album, "Dangerously in Love" was certified multi-platinum. The album featured the singer's collaborations with artists, Sean Paul, Missy Elliott, Outkast's Big Boi, and future husband, Jay-Z. The album yielded four top ten singles, and won five Grammy awards.
Beyonce released her second solo album, "B'day" in September 2006. Three months afterwards, the singer delivered an award-winning performance for the musical movie, "Dreamgirls." Beyonce went on to pursue "The Beyonce Experience" tour, and released a live performance DVD in November 2007.
In 2008, Beyonce played the role of Etta James in "Cadillac Records", a musical biopic that tackled the heydays of the Chicago's Chess label. Beyonce was also the co-executive producer of the biopic. In November 2008, Beyonce released her third solo album, "I Am...Sasha Fierce." This album contains songs of both mainstream beats and R & B sounds.

New Orleans Fans Get Beyonce Concert Tickets Treats
A New Orleans-based entrepreneur did something that may be unthinkable to some: Krystal Allen, CEO and founder of K. Allen Consulting, gave her team of staff members tickets for Beyonce's New Orleans' September 27 "Renaissance" tour, as per Essence.com. It looks like Allen's employees' hard work has paid off, as they relish in Queen Bey's performances of their favorite songs !
