Miley Cyrus embarked on her highly successful "Bangerz" tour in 2014, and she apparently did not earn much from the multi-million-grossing tour.

"The 'Bangerz' Tour was an investment in myself," the "Flowers" singer said of her tour. "I didn't make a dime on this tour because I wanted the tour to be excellent."

While she was reminiscing about her music career, Cyrus addressed one of her most successful tours, and how much she has sacrificed to make it work.

Apparently, her decision was met with a lot of pushback from her own team, as well as other people who found out about how much she got from the "Bangerz" tour.

"When everyone kept saying, 'Why are you doing this? You're going to do like 100 shows and not going to make any money.'

"I said, 'There's no one I would rather invest in than myself.' So I paid for it all to make it exactly what I thought I and the fans deserved."

Miley Cyrus Breaks Stereotypes

When Cyrus first released her fourth studio album, "Bangerz," she received criticisms and backlash of the album and its accompanying tour for being "outlandish."

"A lot of these ideas were kind of so outlandish that no one really wanted to support me in making these pieces, so I had big puppets, oversized beds, I came out of my own face on my tongue," she added.

Aside from sliding out of her face and tongue, Cyrus also rode a huge hotdog, an homage to "The Truman Show" starring Jim Carrey.

Cyrus only doubled down on the "outlandish" concepts through her tour, which was a bit expected especially following the release of "Wrecking Ball."

"At the time when I made 'Wrecking Ball,' I was expecting for there to be controversy and backlash, but I don't think I expected other women to put me down or turn on me, especially women that had been in my position before," the "Plastic Hearts" singer continued.

Miley Cyrus Net Worth

According to reports, Cyrus has a net worth of $160 million. A chunk of her earnings come from her music career as well as her acting career.

Her years-long stint with Disney Channel's "Hannah Montana" has definitely given the singer a great start.

Reports also say that Cyrus has a lot of property worth millions of dollars, including her Mediterranean-style mansion in Malibu, as well as a home in Franklin, Tennesse, and in Studio City, California.
