Elvis Presley wanted to make sure everything was in place before marrying Priscilla.

Elvis and Priscilla's relationship was tested by distance before they got married. After their meeting in 1959, they sparked a romance despite the then-future bride being so young at that time.

They maintained their relationship even after the late King of Rock and Roll had to return to the U.S., and Elvis made sure they could have a worry-free life once they wed in Hollywood.

Elvis Presley Sought Barbara Eden's Advice Before Tying the Knot With Priscilla

Presley's "Flaming Star" costar Barbara Eden recently revealed that the singer asked for her advice before he married Priscilla.

In her interview with Fox News Digital, Eden recalled Presley telling her about the girl he really liked. The "Can't Help Falling in Love" singer then asked her how marriages could survive in Hollywood despite the spotlights focusing on people like him.

Elvis reportedly asked her about her own marriage, expressing his concerns about what would happen once he brought Priscilla to the U.S.

"I told him, 'This is our work,'" Eden shared. "' He goes on location, I go on location. But we're always together. This is how we make money, but we are a team. And as long as the two of you are a team, it will work out.' But Elvis was worried. 'I just don't know,' he would say."

Presley met Priscilla when she was still 14; still, he asked for her parents' blessing so they could spend more time together.

A year after their marriage in 1967, they welcomed their daughter, Lisa Marie Presley. However, they soon decided to call it quits amid their infidelity issues.

Elvis went on to date other women and eventually got engaged with Ginger Alden, who was with him until he died.

Elvis Presley Was a "Gentleman"

Elsewhere in the interview, Eden called the singer "a well-bred gentleman" who always pulled up a chair for her - something actors do not usually do.

The actress added that Elvis was a nice guy to work with because of his courteous and gracious behavior.

"I remember he would have his father on set and another man he called his cousin, but I later found out it wasn't a cousin," she continued. "But they would all just sit together, play guitar and sing."
