Last August 2023, Rihanna has reportedly given birth to her second child, a son, to which she announced during the 2023 Super Bowl Halftime performance earlier this year.
Now, it has been revealed to the world what the couple's second son's name is.
Rihanna's Second Son's Name
According to People Magazine, Rihanna gave birth to a healthy baby boy on Aug. 1, 2023, at 7:41 a.m. at Cedar Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, California.
The publication also revealed that ASAP Rocky and Rihanna's second son is named Riot Rose Mayers.
Apparently, it was derived from various traditions in the family. For those who do not know, ASAP Rocky's given name is Rakim Athelaston Mayers, while Rihanna is named Robyn Rihanna Fenty.
Their son's name starts with the letter R - which makes all of her own family's names start with the letter R. The couple's first child was named RZA Athelston, which was named after RZA, the leader of the famous rap supergroup Wu-Tang Clan.
Also, ASAP Rocky released his single, "Riot" last July 2023, which is the second single for his upcoming fourth album, "Don't Be Dumb." Riot is his second son's first name.
Rihanna's Second Son Riot Rose Name Explained
According to an Entertainment Tonight exclusive report, the couple may have hinted at the name of their second son on Rihanna's 2023 Met Gala outfit, as it was also Rocky's and Rihanna's favorite flower.
"Not everyone knows this, but Rocky loves flowers-he loves having fresh flowers in the house, he loves decorating with flowers, and he even had real flowers in his grill once," the insider revealed.
Notably, Rihanna wore a white Valentino Haute Couture silk faille dress at the 2023 Met Gala honoring the work of the late Karl Lagerfeld. One of the most distinguishable features of her outfit was the huge white roses on the left side.
Since Riot's birth insider told the publication that the family has been keeping it down low, and a complete family pic is due soon!
"They know everyone wants to see a family pic-there will be one soon!" the source said.
As for the idea of adding more into the family of four, an insider told People Magazine that all is well: "Rihanna feels her family is now complete and it's something she's always wanted."
