Fans who attended the Blue Ridge Rock Festival were hoping to have a good time as they attended the event to watch their favorite artists perform live.
However, due to the bad weather, which eventually led to the cancelation of the festival, attendees had some of the worst experiences and they shared some photos and videos online.
Loudwire sorted some of the problems that fans encountered and some of their main concerns during the entire event were campsites, garbage all over the place, bathrooms, shower areas and water, staff, evacuation during the storm, and many more.
Blue Ridge Rock Festival Attendees Share Unfortunate Experience
One attendee took to Twitter to share a few photos from the event which showed a pile of garbage around. Another photo showed countless people flocking and seemingly in line for something. There was also a photo of the porta potties that tipped over due to the storm.
One user alleged that the company who runs the setup threatened employees for speaking up.
One wrote on Facebook: "Blue Ridge Rock Festival this year will probably be the most memorable so far...even if I don't survive it past today. I went from dying from the heat so bad I ended up in the medical tent for heat exhaustion to absolutely freezing to death from the ice cold rain and wind. Then walking through hail to get back to our destroyed camp sites."
Why Did the Blue Ridge Rock Festival Get Canceled?
In early reports, fans already arrived at the venue, the Virginia International Raceway, but it got canceled due to severe weather which forced them to evacuate immediately.
"With heavy hearts, due to this weekend's continued severe weather, we must announce the cancellation of the final days of Blue Ridge Rock Festival," organizers wrote in social media.
The four-day festival was able to hold the first two days of the event, but since its opening night, there have been a lot of issues due to the unpleasant weather.
Musicians who were supposed to perform on the canceled days were Corey Taylor, I Prevail, Lamb of God, Limp Bizkit, and many more.
As of this writing, organizers have yet to address the concerns of attendees mentioned above.
