For some reason, The Game decided Wednesday would be the perfect opportunity to release his "Tuesday" remix.
Cognitive dissonance aside, the new track is true to its origins. Utilizing a completely out-of-character AutoTuned voice, Game works through a long verse about women and clubbin'.
"They know we goin' up," he sings. "Cuz it's Tuesday."
Of course, the original "Tuesday" belongs to ILoveMakonnen, whose meteoric rise through the music industry began with his viral music video, "Club Goin Up On a Tuesday," which he posted on YouTube in early July.
A few weeks ago, Drake got ahold of the track and released a remix that brought the song to an even bigger audience.
"I don't need the pills," he sang, with some help from Makonnen-style Auto-Tune. "I'm just gon' have another drink / And when I'm putting work in on the weekend / I'll look back on this and think / How we had the club doing up on a Tuesday."
Now, Game added his own verse to the beginning. Whenever a fourth rapper gets around to adding his or her piece, the song will be pushing 10 minutes long.
Check it out:
Drake signed ILoveMakonnen to OVO Records over Labor Day weekend. The current roster already includes PARTYNEXTDOOR, Majid Jordan, OB O'Brien and Drake himself.
From MissInfo:
It's no wonder that right after our interview, Makonnen told me he was finalizing his paperwork to sign to Drake and OVO Sound/Warner. While the singer has been working with powerful producers like Mike WiLL Made-It, Metro Boomin', and Sonny Digital long before Drake ever touched "Tuesday," he already felt a kinship with Drake that he trusted enough with his very bright future.
