Playboi Carti Bio
Jordan Carter (professionally known as Playboi Carti) was born on September 13, 1996 in the southern part of Atlanta, Georgia. Carti listened to Prince, Michael Jackson, R. Kelly, 'Lil Jon, Gucci Mane, and Jeezy when he was a child. Carti began the pursuance of his passion for music as a high school student under the professional name of Sir Cartier, as per All Music.
Awful records' main man, Ethereal, produced Carti's early tracks, "YUNGXANHOE" and "Lost", which in turn, garnered a steady following and tons of streams online. Carti's music has been known to evoke repetitive and catchy flows, having gained popularity beginning in the mid-2010's. Playboi's music has been associated in connection with A$AP Mob.
Playboi Carti's Music Career's Early Start
Carti met A$AP Rocky in 2015 at an SXSW show. Shortly after the meeting, Rocky took Carti under his professional care, managing the aspiring musician after having released the hit singles, "Broke Boi" and "Fetti." After being connected with A$AP Rocky, Carti went on tour with 'Lil Uzi Vert and A$AP Ferg prior to Playboi signing a recording contract with Interscope records.
Playboi Carti Hits and Accomplishments
With A$AP Rocky's support, Playboi Carti was featured in A$AP Mob's Cozy Tapes tracks called, "Telephone Calls" and "London Town." Finally, Carti released his debut mixtape, "Playboi Carti" in the spring of 2017. This project featured the contributions of 'Lil Uzi Vert, A$AP Rocky, and Leven Kali.
The following year, Playboi Carti released his debut studio album, "Die Lit." This album featured the works of Nicki Minaj, Young Thug, Skepta, 'Lil Uzi Vert, and Chief Keef. This album reached the number three spot of the Billboard 200 and number two on the R & B/Hip-Hop charts. Carti's sophomore studio album, "Whole Lotta Red" was released on Christmas day of 2020. Kanye West executive produced "Whole Lotta Red", and it broke through the number one spot of the Billboard chart.

Playboi Carti-Kid Cudi Music Collaboration Not Happening?
Kid Cudi announced that his expected upcoming collaboration with Playboi Carti for the song, "Solo Dolo Pt. 4" is no longer going to push through. As per Xxlmag.com, back in May 2023, Cudi shared that Playboi did not clear the said song for the two musicians' collaboration. Kid Cudi first teased the possible collaboration in one of his performances.
