Big Ears Festival 2024 Lineup: John Paul Jones, Herbie Hancock, and Many More — Details

Calling all festivalgoers! The 2024 edition of the Big Ears Festival just unveiled the performers for next year's very diverse show; are your favorite artists on the list? Find out below!

According to Rolling Stone, the music event will take place from March 21 to March 24, 2024, in downtown Knoxville and it would have over 200 events which include film presentations, musical performances, conversations and many more.

Some of the performers announced are Herbie Hancock, John Paul Jones, and Laurie Anderson, among the well-known artists.

Other artists included in the official lineup are Fred Frith, Unwound, Adrianne Lenker of Big Thief, Digable Planets, Molly Tuttle, Samora Pinderhughes, and more.

Son Rompe pra, Kurt Vile & The Violators, Fatoumata Diawara, and Beth Orton will also perform at the event.

Big Ears Festival to Feature the 'Most Exciting Musical Creators'

In a statement by Ashley Capps, the founder and artistic director of the festival, the upcoming event is going to be an "adventure" and an avenue to feature the most exciting musicians around.

"It's an opportunity to hear the world's most exciting musical creators as well as to open up to new ideas and experiences. It spurs the imagination and nourishes the soul. That's the real magic of Big Ears," she said.

Aside from the artists mentioned above, other stars that will perform on stage include Rhiannon Giddens, Henry Threadgill, Marc Ribot, Ceramic Dog, King Britt, Roc Marciano, Armand Hammer, MAVI, and many more.

How to Get Tickets for Big Ears Festival

For those who are interested in attending the event, tickets will be on sale starting on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at 9 a.m. ET via their official website.

Regarding the prices, four-day general admission passes are priced at $350 + fees for early birds while tiers 1 and 2 cost $400 and $450 + fees respectively.

Those who have GA four-day passes will gain access to all publicly announced events at the official venues for the entire duration of the festival.

Fans will have a chance to attend over 150 concerts in 12 venues, there will also be literary events and film screenings during the festival as well as panel discussions, exhibits, workshops, and more.

For those who want to upgrade to premier passes, they will have access to unannounced "secret show" during the weekend.
