The upcoming legal battle between Katy Perry and an elderly veteran is set to make headlines with her scheduled appearance as a witness in the trial on September 27.

The two are at odds over selling a $15 million home. Radar Online recently obtained details from the court documents about this case.

Perry is slated to spend 1 hour and 20 minutes responding to questions from the veteran's legal team, followed by another 30 minutes of being queried by her lawyer.

The topics will concern the connection she shares with her business manager and agent, Bernie Gudvi.

Carl Westcott, an 83-year-old veteran, took legal action against Gudvi because he believed he was sold his Santa Barbara property while on painkillers.

"Before the delivery of the proposed written contract, [Westcott] had not granted any real estate broker a listing to market his home sale. In contrast, the elderly [Westcott] had recently purchased and moved into his home two months earlier."

"When [Westcott[ entered into the contract, he was under the influence of several intoxicating pain-killing opiates that his physicians instructed him to take when he was discharged from the hospital a few days earlier."

Gudvi defended himself adamantly against the claims. His lawyers contended that Westcott had not lost his mental clarity and was instead trying to negotiate with other entities. The business manager challenged Westcott to reconsider the agreement but maintained that it did not warrant a termination of the contract.

When Westcott shared his decision to cancel the transaction with Gudvi, Perry and her partner, Orlando Bloom, wrote a heartfelt note to the veterinarian to keep the deal alive.

Katy and Orlando wrote in the letter, "We are writing this letter to you to express our appreciation about your agreement to sell your property to us and to communicate our joy at being able to call it our home."

"As you know, we are expecting a baby next month and know that this will be the best place to bring her home and raise her in."

In the recently released court filing, the "Firework" hitmaker will be expected to answer questions about her house-hunting experiences, ownership of properties, contact with Carl Westcott and his representatives, why Bernie Gudvi was contracted as her agent, and what understanding she had concerning the veteran's refusal to sell.

Notably absent from those called to testify is Bloom. Westcott also doesn't appear on that list, though his relatives are expected to give statements in support of him.
