Russell Brand and Katy Perry's brief marriage ended unexpectedly when the comedian texted the pop star to announce their divorce after barely 14 months of marriage. Did Katy Perry find out Brand's so-called true character in the process?

Four women have now accused 48-year-old Brand of rape, sexual assault, and emotional abuse. They claim that the alleged occurrences occurred between 2006 and 2013, when he was at the height of his career.

The father of two has angrily refuted the allegations made by The Sunday Times and Channel 4, maintaining that all of his relationships were consensual even during his "period of promiscuity."

In response to allegations that she was aware of the "true truth" during their divorce, his ex-wife Perry-who is currently engaged to her long-term boyfriend Orlando Bloom-has not spoken out about the matter thus far.

The California Gurls singer revealed she had first accepted "a lot of responsibility" for the breakup until she "found out the real truth" in a 2013 interview with Vogue.

Perry declared that she would put this "truth" up in her safe "for a rainy day," as she could not "necessarily disclose" it.

Could this the truth that she was talking about?

She said at the time, "He's a very smart man, and I was in love with him when I married him."

"Let's just say I haven't heard from him since he texted me saying he was divorcing me December 31, 2011."

Perry added, "I felt a lot of responsibility for it ending, but then I found out the real truth, which I can't necessarily disclose because I keep it locked in my safe for a rainy day. I let go and I was like: This isn't because of me; this is beyond me. So I have moved on from that. "

The singer discussed her marriage to Brand in her documentary Part of Me. She even shared an emotional moment just before stepping on stage at a concert after a fight with her former husband.

Meanwhile, some fans rallied in support of Russell Brand after controversial social media influencer Andrew Tate claimed that the comedian had been the victim of a "matrix attack." Alongside hundreds of Brand's fans, he posted on social media, implying that the accusations of sex crimes were a "bunch of garbage" and criticizing Brand for "telling the truth" about "big pharma."

The remarks support Brand's assertion that the mainstream media is waging a "coordinated attack" against him because they have a "concerted agenda." Tate made similar statements when he was indicted in June with rape and human trafficking in Romania.
