Tinashe expresses regret for her partnership with Chris Brown, which he clearly heard and took offense at, disparaging her by implying she's not a big deal. Is he being a sour graper now?

The singer was asked about her 2015 R. Kelly and CB songs during an interview on a podcast earlier this week, which caused Tinashe wince and give an explanation.

After saying she wants to distance herself and that she didn't want to work with them, she genuinely laughs aloud.

Regarding the R. Kelly collaboration, "Let's Be Real Now," she claims she ignores that memory. TianShe adds that the choice was made solely by the label, and that it also applied to her Chris collaboration. It made no sense to her that he was on the song.

Naturally, Chris learned of Tinashe's apparent criticism of him through the headlines that most media outlets printed, despite the fact that she wasn't really that harsh on him.

He responded to an IG post that captured a headline which read, ""Tinashe Regrets 2015 Collaborations with R. Kelly & Chris Brown: 'That Is So Embarrassing,'" with a harsh clapback.

In the comments, Chris wrote, "NAME 5 TINASHE songs or die ... EVERYBODY DEAD."

The Internet has responded to Chris's burn in a few different ways. Naturally, a lot of people are criticizing Chris for attempting to harm Tinashe's career; some have gone so far as to say they couldn't name five Chris Brown songs if they had a pistol to their head.

But consider Twitter's calling cap. The truth is that Chris has a lot more well-known catalog than Tinashe has, as well as a more accomplished music career overall.

Others claim that the song they recorded, which Tinashe now regrets, is actually a hit. They even think that she's merely stating this because it's trendy to criticize CB for his contentious past. In a video, Joyner Lucas said it rather well: he would stand up for Chris to the death and would not tolerate any defamation of him. As usual, opinions on the matter are mixed.

Tinashe, on the other hand, is moving on. She seemed to address all of the commotion on Sunday by posting on Twitter, "Anyways... stream NEEDS."

Her recent single is obviously what she wants to concentrate on, not some obscure historical figure. Nevertheless, it's intriguing that Chris is still so divisive. These days, it makes a big news whenever someone works with him or even just thinks back on it.
