A concert set to take place in Caliente Stadium, Tijuana, has been canceled due to death threats, as announced by Peso Pluma's record label on Wednesday.

The city of Tijuana is located on the border between Mexico and the United States.

Four significant roads in Tijuana had a surprising sight: banners sporting red lettering that threatened the rapper, whose real name is Hassan Kabande.

In light of security concerns, Doble P Records has decided to cancel the upcoming show in Tijuana.

They commented on Instagram: "We want to ensure everyone's safety and wellbeing, which is why we have decided. We thank all fans for their understanding."

Banners with alleged signatures from a drug cartel were spotted around Tijuana warning a particular musical artist to avoid performing at his "Doble P Mexico Tour" show in that city.

Despite this apparent danger, he is still determined to go ahead and take part in that event.

TMZ reports that banners signed by Jalisco New Generation Cartel were found with a warning directed at Peso Pluma.

It read: "Should you disregard this message and appear on October 14, it will be your last performance due to your inappropriate conduct and insensitive words."

As reported by Punto Norte, banners were found with what appears to be initialed by a cartel.

This is due to an ongoing debate surrounding Mexican singer - recently featured at September 12's MTV Video Music Awards - and his corridos tumbados, combining hip-hop aspects with explicit references to crime and illegal substances.

The San Diego Union-Tribune states that three banners were discovered, and a person was taken into custody relating to the banners.

Moreover, it has been reported by the EFE news agency that an anthem written by him references drug boss El Chapo in its title of El Belicón.

In response to banners containing alleged death threats against a singer, Mexico's Baja California Attorney General's Office has begun investigations. Tijuana Security Secretary Fernando Sánchez informed a local newspaper of this news.

Meanwhile, when asked by reporters, Tijuana Mayor Montserrat Caballero stated that no contact had been made between city officials and said singer.

The City of Caballero has recently been deliberating a ban on corridos tumbados concerts, as reported by Frontera.

As a result, TMZ subsequently announced that Peso Pluma had to reschedule several upcoming performances.

The venue for the troupe's next show is set for the Reno Events Center in Reno on September 28; however, no explanation was given as to why these shows had to be postponed.
