Bruce Springsteen Bio
Bruce Springsteen was born on September 23, 1949 in Long Branch or Freehold, New Jersey. Springsteen was born to parents, Douglas Springsteen, a bus driver, and Adele Springsteen, a secretary, as per All Music. Springsteen's passion for music began when he started to take an interest in Elvis Presley's performance on "The Ed Sullivan Show" in 1956. After he saw Elvis performed, Bruce began to own a guitar. However, he didn't start playing the guitar hands-on until 1963.

Springsteen participated in an audition held for Columbia records talent scout, John Hammond. Hammond signed on Bruce to Columbia records in 1972. Springsteen solicited the services of his previous back-up band in the creation of his debut LP, "Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J." Bruce's studio album, "The Wild, The Innocent, & The E Street Shuffle", released in September 1973, went double platinum.
Springsteen's hit single released in 1975 called "Born to Run" reached the Top 40 chart. The album with the same title went to the Top ten of the chart. The album sold six million copies.
Bruce Springsteen Hits and Accomplishments
Bruce's lead single and album with the same title released in June 1984 called "Born in the USA" hit the number one spot of the album chart. The album overtook seven top ten hits at the time, and sold 15 million copies. With this accomplishment, Springsteen was ranked in the same legendary level with iconic musicians, Michael Jackson and Prince.
Bruce's and the E Street band's next album called, "Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band Live/1975-1985" was released in November 1986 in the form of a set of five LP/three CD box set. This album was certified platinum 13 times. Bruce's album released in October 1987 called, "Tunnel of Love", just preceded his divorce from his first wife, actress Julianne Phillips, in 1989.
In June 2019, October 2020, and November 2022, Springsteen released new music materials. These projects were studio album, "Western Stars," an E Street band album collaboration, "Letter to You" and the album "Only the Strong Survive", respectively. "Western Stars" and "Letter to You" entered the number two spot of the Billboard 200 chart. "Only the Strong Survive" debuted at number eight of the Billboard 200.

Among Bruce Springsteen's unforgettable past live performances that were fan favorites included the Hammersmith Odeon Show in London in 1975, No Nukes concert in Madison Square Garden in New York in 1979, "Born in the USA" tour in 1984-1985, and "MTV Plugged" in 1992, as per American Songwriter.
