Ozzy Osbourne shared his goal after his successful surgery.
Osbourne underwent fourth - and final, he said - spinal surgery this month after he experienced debilitating pain that caused him to cancel his Power Trip Festival appearance. Amid his recovery, the Black Sabbath rocker revealed his wish before going back to the stage.
Ozzy Osbourne Going Back to the Music Industry
In his new interview on Tuesday, September 26, Osbourne updated his fans that he had a successful surgery and was feeling okay afterward.
He told Metal Hammer that he thought he would be back on his feet a few months ago, but he realized something was wrong with him, so he underwent another operation. While he still cannot walk properly, he revealed that he is not in any pain anymore.
Although he wants to be back on stage, Osbourne expressed his desire to release one more album before going live again.
"I'm getting myself fit. I've done two albums fairly recently [2020's Ordinary Man and 2022's Patient Number 9] but I want to do one more album and then go back on the road," he said.
Osbourne only performed twice at live events following his 2018 tour as he kept on canceling his appearances because of his health issues.
Ozzy Osbourne Says He Will Be Back Stronger
Before the procedure, he shared on the September 19 episode of "The Osbournes Podcast" that he was far from his deathbed.
"Tomorrow, I have my final surgery on my neck," he said. "Which is gonna be the final surgery, because I can't do it anymore. Regardless of the way it ends up after tomorrow, I'm not doing it anymore. I can't."
Osbourne decided to undergo another surgery after he fell on the floor and broke his neck in 2019. The incident also dislocated the pins installed in his back after a past motorbike accident. Although he had surgery to prevent potential paralysis, he still experienced pain that affected his ability to walk on his own and climb the stairs.
He has yet to share the event or show he wants to perform at soon. Details of a potential new album remain unknown, as well.
