The sudden passing of "Euphoria" actor Angus Cloud has left his mother, Lisa Cloud, heartbroken.
In an interview published Tuesday, she revealed to People Magazine what her son's last words to her were before he passed away. Just a few hours before she went to bed, she had spoken to him for the final time.
"I love you, mama. You're the best," the 25-year-old actor said before hugging her. "I'll see you in the morning."
Early that following day, Lisa paid a visit to Angus' room. When she arrived, she found Angus hunched over, desk-working on his art as always. Still, something about it didn't feel right to her.
Lisa told People, "I started shaking him and screaming."
"I pushed him hard, and he fell on the floor. I tried to resuscitate him - mouth to mouth - and I was compressing him."
"I was screaming for my neighbor because I didn't want to leave him and call 911, and I just kept at it until they took him away. I miss him so much. He was the love of my life."
Recently, she shared a heartfelt Facebook post expressing gratitude towards her friends for their continued support during this difficult time.
Angus Cloud Final Day Alive
She mentioned that Angus' last day was filled with joy.
Lisa said that as her son rearranged objects in his room, it was clear that Angus meant to stay for a while and cherish the place he called home.
He reportedly intended to help support both his sisters during college and also aid his mother with matters of the heart as well as finances. He unequivocally did not plan to bring an end to his life.
"Clearly, he did not intend to check out of this world. His struggles were real. He gave and received so much love and support to and from his tribe."
The death of actor Angus Cloud was confirmed recently, having been ruled as an accidental overdose.
It was revealed that the Alameda County coroner determined acute intoxication from a cocktail of drugs, such as fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine, and benzodiazepine, was responsible for his death.
The period leading to Angus' death was a difficult one. Two months prior, his father, Conor Hickey, had passed away due to cancer.
His friends said he was so overwhelmed with sadness that he couldn't bring himself to attend the ceremony for scattering his father's ashes. He felt too much distress from the loss.
