The producer of "The Exorcist: Believer" has spoken out on the choice to advance the movie's release date in order to avoid conflict with Taylor Swift's "Eras Tour" documentary.
The horror movie was originally scheduled to open on Friday, October 13.
However, Exorcist's premiere date was moved to October 6 in response to Swift, 33, announcing her intention to release her concert film on the same day. Taylor Swift is the one thing that scares Blum to death, he stated to Entertainment Weekly.
October has this incredible Friday the 13th, which is the greatest day of the year to release a horror film.
In order to start a "Exorswift" movement, Blum claimed he had thought about sticking to the original release date, but ultimately decided against it because it was too dangerous to predict whether the movement would succeed or fail.
People will still be able to take advantage of Exorswift, so perhaps we can have our cake and eat it too.
When the release date was announced last month, Jason facetiously attributed Taylor's movie to the date change on Twitter, stating, "Look what you made me do!" The film producer used the hashtag #taylorwins in the tweet, which gave it an additional humorous element.
Regarding the revised release date for The Exorcist: Believer, the singer of "Lavender Haze" has not yet made any public remarks.

By including, Eras clothing, friendship bracelets, singing and dancing encouraged, she increased the excitement among her supporters.
Movie ticket services are already readying their servers to handle the influx of devoted Swifties who were unable to attend the Eras tour in person.
As to NPR, AMC has successfully scaled up its website and servers to accommodate'more than five times the highest rush of ticket-buying traffic the firm has ever faced before. Sam Wrench, a well-known concert film director who has worked on films with Billie Eilish, Jennifer Lopez, BTS, and Pentatonix, among others, will be helming the camera for the Taylor Swift Eras concert tour video.
