Travis Barker is suffering health crisis after health crisis. After he had a scare with his wife, Kourtney Kardashian, and their baby, followed by testing positive for COVID-19, he now has Trigeminal Neuralgia.
According to reports, the Blink-182 drummer revealed that he recently suffered from an episode of trigeminal neuralgia on X (formerly know as Twitter).
"Last week I had covid, an episode of trigeminal neuralgia, and a root canal," Barker wrote. "Which means I can pretty much handle anything god throws at me."
As per the Mayo Clinic, trigeminal neuralgia is a chronic disorder that causes "painful sensations similar to an electric shock on one side of the face."
It affects the trigeminal nerve, which is responsible for the sensation felt in the face and sending it to the brain. If someone suffers from this condition, they may experience immense pain from something as delicate as a makeup brush.
Travis Barker's Health Deteriorating?
According to reports, this is not the first time Barker has had an episode of trigeminal neuralgia, the 47-year-old musician has been candid about his struggles with this disorder since 2017.
On top of that, this is one but many of Barker's struggles with his health. Back in July 2022, the musician was rushed to the hospital because of pancreatitis.
Pancreatitis is when one's pancreas becomes inflamed. Barker shared his health status with his fans at the time: "I underwent an endoscopy on Monday feeling great. But after dinner, I developed excruciating pain and have been hospitalized ever since.
"During the endoscopy, I had a very small polyp removed right in a very sensitive area, usually handled by specialists, which unfortunately damaged a critical pancreatic drainage tube."
Travis Barker Lives to Fight Another Day
Just as Barker said, he is no stranger to hospital trips, but at the end of the day, the musician always pulls through and manages to live to fight another day.
Barker also happened to be involved in a deadly airplane accident back in 2008. It has caused him a lot of trauma and pain.
"I still hate flying," Barker admitted in another Tweet. "I love touring and playing music but I unfortunately associate traveling and flying with death.
"I am strong and nothing can keep me from living life though," he added, ending his tweet with on an enthusiastic note.
