Porno for Pyros postponed their 30th-anniversary tour, Horns, Thorns En Halos, which they scheduled to begin this month.

In July, the band announced that it would put an end to its 25 years of touring hiatus with a trek this year. Perry Farrell, Stephen Perkins, Peter DiStefano and Martyn LeNoble planned to perform at the Horns, Thorns En Halos stops, but they decided to postpone the tour for now.

Why Did Porno for Pyros Cancel Their Tour?

The supposed Horns, Thorns En Halos tour was set to begin in Wheatland, Calif., on October 8 before the finale in Austin, Tex., on November 20. They were also scheduled to visit several venues in different states, including Nevada, Wisconsin, Utah, Illinois, New York, Michigan, Massachusetts, Maryland and Tennessee, to name a few.

In a statement on Instagram, the Parrell-fronted band said that they decided to move the dates as they "were not able to begin our campaign in time."

"So, we've pushed the tour a few months from now, in order for everyone to hear and appreciate the new material that is finally finished," Porno for Pyros continued. "Listen up for the new music in the upcoming weeks and keep an eye out for new tour dates. We're coming!"

Unfortunately, some fans expressed their disappointment over the postponement and slammed Farrell since it was not the first time it happened.

One said, "Love how what was billed as an anniversary tour now can't happen cause the new music isn't ready?!? Perry is once again letting the fans down. Not the first time."

"You couldn't have figured it out a week before I was supposed to see you on the first date of the tour? WTF?!?"

Others assumed that Porno for Pyros' shows probably have low ticket sales so the band decided to extend the sales in order to fill more seats.

The pre-sales started on July 12, while a general public on-sale was opened on Live Nation's website on July 14.

Before the anniversary tour announcement, Farrell told Alt Press that they started working on a new album without Dave Navarro, who has been struggling with long COVID-19 following his diagnosis in 2021.
