Sunday night in Las Vegas, Lady Gaga dedicated her 2011 hit song "Born This Way" to the people who lost their lives in the city six years prior in a tragic massacre. Abridged version of the song played, Gaga paused and remarked, "I just want to remind everyone here what a resilient wonderful city this is." "I want to dedicate this song to everyone we lost," she said.

Back on October 1, 2017, from his Mandalay Bay hotel room, professional gambler Steven Paddock opened fire on the Harvest 91 country music festival attendees.

In American history, it was the deadliest mass shooting. It is nice of Lady Gaga to remember the hundreds of injured and fatalities.

Meanwhile, it's finally possible for Lady Gaga to move on from the traumatic tale of her abducted dogs.

According to records obtained by People, the 37-year-old singer and actress had a woman's plea for her $500,000 bounty for the canines' return permanently dismissed. Jennifer McBride sued Gaga, claiming she should have received the substantial reward for reporting the stolen dogs.

Ryan Fischier, Gaga's dog walker, was attacked and shot in the chest by two attackers during the crime. After the theft and attack, she first claimed to have only discovered the dogs tied up.

However, she then entered a plea of not guilty to the charge of receiving stolen property, which resulted in a two-year probationary period. Judge Holly J. Fujie of Los Angeles made the decision on Monday, declaring Lady Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta, is no longer eligible for the reward.

In July, Fujie had granted McBride 20 days to revise her application after at first declaring that she was ineligible for the reward despite having entered a plea of not guilty to her involvement in the crime. 'In no way involved in the crime,' McBride asserted in her updated filing, adding that she just 'took possession' of the stolen dogs so that she could give them back to the A Star Is Born actress. Gaga's legal team stated that her latest filing'makes no sense' in response, taking into account her prior plea.

The court "finds that nothing alleged in the [first amended complaint] changes [the initial] conclusion," according to Fujie's ruling.

McBride's complaint has been dismissed with prejudice, which means she can't resubmit it in the hopes of getting it past the judicial system. Gaga's eventual no contest plea didn't help matters; initially, she had refused to give McBride the demanded $500,000 reward because of suspicions that she had been complicit in the heist.

There were indications that McBride was closely acquainted with the illegal plan since she was dating the father of one of the two guys who took the dogs. A document that TMZ was able to obtain claims that the judge dismissed McBride's casTmze for the undeserved award money because of that conviction.

McBride said she was entitled to the money when she filed the lawsuit in February 2023 since Gaga had given the incentive with "no questions asked."

Following the theft of two of her Frenchies, Gaga had almost exactly two years prior announced the $500,000 award. McBride said that Gaga's incentive promise was deceptive, therefore she asked the court to triple the damages, or a total of $1.5 million, in addition to asking for the whole reward.

When McBride turned the canines in for the reward at the LAPD Olympic Community station just two days after they were taken, she was aware that they had been stolen, according to a previous statement made to TMZ by LA County Deputy District Attorney Michele Hanisee.

Three of Gaga's French Bulldogs were being walked by dog walker Ryan Fischier when two males, James Howard Jackson and Jaylin White, leapt out of a car and took two of the dogs.

The third dog managed to escape and was found later. In the course of the attack, Jackson struck Fischier once with a semiautomatic handgun and then choked him with the help of the two men. Before rescue personnel could take him to the hospital, Fischier was found bleeding on the pavement. There, he underwent surgery to remove parts of his injured lungs caused by the gunshot.
