Taylor Swift offered her massive support to Selena Gomez as the latter launched her first Rare Impact Charity Fund auction.

On Wednesday, October 4, Gomez hosted the Rare Impact Fund Benefit: A Night of Radiance & Reflection in Los Angeles, Calif., to continue spreading mental health awareness. She launched the fund in 2020 in pursuit of reducing the stigma surrounding mental health and giving access to services for adults and young people.

Taylor Swift Supports Selena Gomez's Mission

Gomez welcomed her "Only Murders in the Building" co-star Martin Short - who served as the emcee - and celebrities who also wanted to support the event.

"I've always wanted to do one, but I thought we were too young to maybe do it," Gomez told The Hollywood Reporter. "We're in a good place and I guess why not now? We're stoked to be able to do this, it's going to a great cause and I just couldn't be luckier."

Her best friend, Taylor Swift, played a huge role in the auction as she donated VIP tickets to her "The Eras" tour concert. The Rare Impact Fund Benefit's auction sells for the starting price of $5,000, and the tickets were immediately sold for a whopping $15,000.

Among the other choices in the auction included a glam session with Gomez's stylists, lunch with Camila Cabello and a movie night with Paul Rudd.

Selena Gomez on Breaking Mental Health Stigma

During the star-studded event, the "Lose You To Love Me" singer delivered a heartfelt message and expressed her gratitude for everyone who supported their mission.

She revealed that the night was overwhelming for her and that she threw up hours before going to the venue.

Per Gomez, it had been the "culmination of a lifelong dream" for her that stemmed from the lows in her life.

"I struggled with the world inside my head for a long time and I felt lost and I felt hopeless at times. In 2020 I received my diagnosis of bipolar disorder, and to be honest, everything quickly change," Gomez opened up. Her dream for Gracie and other kids of her generation to have a better world also fueled her in launching the event.

The Rare Impact Fund aims to raise $100 million for 10 years to provide mental health resources around the globe.
