The reactions were incredibly divided when the news broke of Taylor Swift's potential romance with Travis Kelce.
On one hand, Swifties praised the Kansas City Chiefs star for his comment equating a relationship with her to winning the Super Bowl.
However, NFL fans were not as thrilled and made it clear that they felt his career would suffer for it.
On Friday afternoon, the press was eager to ask the Kansas City Chiefs tight end about the recent reports of his relationship with the "Anti-Hero" singer.
As the two had been spotted at multiple games together in two weeks, everyone wanted to know how he dealt with it all and whether it affected his performance. At the podium, Travis discussed these topics in detail.
He declared that he has never experienced a greater sense of accomplishment.
"Winning the Super Bowl was an indescribable feeling, and right now, I am even more fulfilled," the Chiefs' star stated. "The attention and recognition from fans makes it seem like I'm on top of the world."
Concerning the heightened media attention Taylor has been dealing with, Travis spoke highly of her as he detailed his approach.
"You have got a lot of people that care about Taylor, for good reason. Got to keep living and learning and enjoying the moments," he said. "We're learning with the paparazzi taking photos all over the place, but it comes with it."
In contrast to Travis Kelce's praise from the press, social media users had an altogether different take on his comments.
Almost as soon as they were posted online, sports enthusiasts quickly voiced their disapproval of the Kansas City Chiefs player. They even went so far as to speculate that his words would be immortalized in a Taylor Swift song.

When the unexpected news broke that Travis Kelce declared dating Taylor Swift would be better than winning a Super Bowl, Dave Portnoy, Barstool Sports founder and avid fan of the songstress, took to X (formerly Twitter) to comment.
He exclaimed, "I Am Officially Now board The Taylor Swift/Travis Kelce Relationship."
The tweet sparked strong reactions as numerous fans deemed it the "greatest PR stunt in recent history."
In response to the pending separation between the Chiefs and Super Bowl ring, a concerned commenter asked, "Will it last as long as said ring?"
Another individual was more pessimistic, referring to Kelce's comments as signifying a potential disappointment for those loyal to Kansas City.
In response to the breakup, a fan remarked: "I wouldn't be surprised one bit that right now, as we speak, somebody's working on their Travis Kelce song!"
