Over the weekend, Drake released his latest album "For All The Dogs" and many fans were happy to hear new music from the rapper. However, not everyone was pleased as many noticed that one of the tracks sounds exactly like a Pet Shop Boys song; what happened between the two musical acts?

According to Esquire, Drake had his own rendition of the track "West End Girls" by the legendary British band. It was originally released in 1984 and was dubbed as the greatest song of all time in the United Kingdom.

In the rapper's new song titled "All The Parties," featuring Chief Keif, the musician could be heard singing the chorus of the pop band's track.

The Pet Shop Boys Call Out Drake For Not Asking For Permission

The Pet Shop Boys then took to their official X account (formerly known as Twitter) to call out the hip-hop artist as they claimed that he never asked permission for the song to be a part of his new track.

"Surprising to hear @Drake singing the chorus of "West End girls" in the track "All the Parties" on his new album. No credit given or permission requested," they wrote.

Per the outlet, owners of the original song expected the rapper to contact them or their publishers to ask for permission in order to use the track.

However, it was surprising for many that the musician bypassed members Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe.

As of this writing, the track has over 7.4 million hits on Spotify and the Pet Shop Boys hasn't been credited yet. Drake has also yet to address the issue.

Drake to Take a Break From the Music Industry to Focus on His Health

In other updates, Drake revealed in the "Table for One" show on Sirius XM's Sound 42 that he would be taking a break from music as he needed to focus on his health and well-being.

"I probably won't make music for a little bit," he said, which surprised many fans.

He noted that it's "nothing crazy" but he just wanted people to be healthy with their lives. He further added that he had been struggling with stomach problems for years and this would be the perfect time for him to get things right.

Although Drake didn't exactly reveal when his next album would drop after "For All The Dogs," he noted that he would be gone for a year but he's still unsure about it.
