Taylor Swift's fans have been theorizing that the singer will be doing a double album release; they are convinced that she will drop "1989 (Taylor's Version)" and "Reputation (Taylor's Version)" at the same time.
The "Anti-Hero" singer's recent social media update only spurred the rumors even further.
While Swift was seemingly simply writing about the premiere of her highly anticipated "Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour" concert film, she left a handful of "Reputation" references.
"Andddd I can't really wrap my head around this but.... Look what you genuinely made me do: Due to unprecedented demand we're opening up early access showings of The Eras Tour Concert Film on THURSDAY in America and Canada!" Swift wrote in her announcement.
"[...] And the best part is, it's an adventure we're still on together. Getting in the car now..."
The comments section was full of fans speculating that Swift might be hinting that she will be releasing the re-recording of her 2017 album "Reputation" along with "1989 (Taylor's Version)" which will drop on Oct. 27.
"Reputation TV," a fan simply wrote.
"BESTIE YOU DID NOT JUST SAY LOOK WHAT YOU MADE ME DO REP TV COMING SOON."
Taylor Swift References 'Reputation' Songs
Fans took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to share their theories on what could the announcement mean--especially since Swift references "Look What You Made Me Do" and "Getaway Car."
"Everyone talking about how 1989 coded the outfit is but hey she said 'Look what you genuinely made me do.' She's making it so obvious."
"The double drop album truthers are crazy until they're not."
"Why do I feel like this means there's some kind of big reveal/announcement now in the movie now," another added.
Taylor Swift's Double Album Drop Fan Theory
According to reports, aside from the apparent Easter eggs Swift has dropped in her latest post online, she has been allegedly hinting that she will be releasing two albums at the same time.
Some fans point to the singer wearing a Shania Twain shirt, which they think means that Swift was "inspired" to double-drop her albums, just as the country music star did before with "Up!"
Despite fans' best efforts to justify the fan theory, there are still no confirmations on whether the singer will drop two albums at once.
