The Independent shared one of Marlowe's last messages, revealing that he attempted to evacuate people when the Hamas militants started the attack. The musician was working as a security at the festival when the incident happened.
Per the message, he used a quad bike to help the attendees even when the gunmen started to open fire at the venue.
One of his pals Daniel Aboudy said Marlowe last spoke to his mother at 4:30 a.m. U.K. time when he saw the rockets being fired from Gaza. The former bassist reportedly filmed it.
They spoke again 45 minutes later but the lines did not ring anymore after the last communication.
His mother, Lisa, also sat for an interview with The Jewish Chronicle and detailed Marlowe's last moments.
"At about 5.30AM, he texted to say, 'signal very bad, everything OK, will keep you updated I promise you,' and that he loves me," she noted before quoting her son saying, "I don't know what we're supposed to be doing. I've got people in Israel phoning the home guard command, others talking to others, everyone's just trying to help as much as they can."
