When Kesha admitted on X that she had been dumped for the first time, she demonstrated today why she was one relatable celebrity.
The 36-year-old "Die Young" hitmaker wrote on the social media platform for her 3 million followers 'I just got dumped for the first time... in my LIFE... Can you believe it.' With a hint of grim humor, she continued, "We're all f****."
The Gag Order singer continued, being honest about her difficulties in the dating game, saying, "I mostly want a sugar daddy."
A lot of fun. Kesha ended by tagging unmarried males in a challenge.
'DM me.' The pop diva was open and honest with her fans about her breakup, but she never revealed who her mystery man-now ex-was. Nonetheless, she was spotted cuddling up to Hollywood producer and director Riccardo Maddalosso earlier this summer.
She was seen kissing the Hollywood heavyweight a month before she gushed about a mystery man in a June interview with SELF. Before their May kiss, they had also been sighted together on the red carpet and at Santa Monica's popular Giorgio Baldi for a romantic Valentine's Day meal. She was frequently spotted in public, but she only mentioned her "boyfriend" once in the SELF cover story.
She quipped to the magazine, "The only thing I'll say about my boyfriend is: Sometimes, he has to have a face cream intervention and take them away from me." Her lover became alarmed when she broke out in hives from a facial cream and frantically asked the Backstabber songstress, "What did you do?!?"
The Praying singer has experienced significant success this year in resolving her protracted defamation lawsuit against music producer Dr. Luke, despite her relationship difficulties. Both sides agreed to a settlement one month prior to the case's scheduled trial. Kesha expressed her relief that the court struggle had finally come to an end in a joint statement.
Opening a new chapter in my life and closing this one is something I am looking forward to. I hope that everyone concerned finds peace," she wrote. The "Die Young" singer changed the name of her next tour from the Gag Order tour to the Only Love tour, demonstrating her commitment to starting a new chapter. The Only Love tour by Kesha will begin in Dallas, Texas, on October 15.
Kesha accused Dr. Luke of drugging, raping, and emotionally abusing her over their years of working together, and she filed a lawsuit against him in October of 2014. He refuted every accusation. Kesha wanted to end her contract, but Gottwald countersued her for slander and breach of contract. Over the years, the two have exchanged lawsuits. Under Dr. Luke's label, Gag Order is now available.
