The first round of voting for the 2024 Grammy Awards started earlier this week.

Many fans are scouring the internet for insider access and information on which songs, acts, and artists will be nominated on Music's Biggest Night in 2024. Variety insiders inspect what the Grammy ballot contained, and it is quite a mix of expected and surprising revelations.

Grammy Award for Best New Artist

Most notably, Ice Spice has the biggest shot among the industry's biggest artists today in winning the Best New Artist Award. She already won that at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards, so she might be a shoo-in in the final nomination roster.

However, last year's big twist on awarding Best New Artist to a less popular artist, Samara Joy, had many raising their eyebrows, given the fact that the previous winners, Olivia Rodrigo, Dua Lipa, Megan Thee Stallion, and Billie Eilish, went on to have largely successful commercial careers.

Names like Lainey Wilson, Megan Moroney, and Jelly Roll for Country are also tossed, while Renee Rapp, PinkPantheress, Peso Pluma, Kalii, and Coco Jones are also mentioned somewhere there.

Grammy Award for Song & Record of The Year

Five tracks from the "Barbie" album have been submitted for consideration for the two biggest track awards of the Grammys.

Dua Lipa's "Dance The Night," Nicki Minaj, Ice Spice, and Aqua's "Barbie World," Billie Eilish's "What Was I Made For," Ava Max's "Choose Your Fighter," and Ryan Gosling's "I'm Just Ken" were all submitted. Fifty Fifty's "Barbie Dreams" featuring Kaliii was on the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance list.

PinkPantheress and Ice Spice's "Boys Are Liar Pt. 2," the song that introduced Ice Spice to a wider audience, are also up for consideration in the two categories.

Grammy Award for Album of the Year

Billboard chart-toppers are also listed on the ballot, including Jon Batiste's "World Music Radio," Olivia Rodrigo's "Guts," Taylor Swift's "Midnights," SZA's "SOS," and even Lana Del Rey's "Did You Know That There's a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd," can all be going head to head on the top category. Grammy Awards 2024 Most Nominated Artist

Per Variety's projections, SZA and Jon Batiste could very well be at the top of the most nominated artists.

SZA spread her smash album, "SOS" on various R&B and rap categories, which could seal her well-deserved individual Grammy.

Meanwhile, Grammys 2022 Album of the Year Winner, Jon Batiste vied for the lesser-known and popular categories which could also be a shoo-in for him. Will he be the most nominated and most awarded artist again like in 2022?
