Following Taylor Swift's recent wearing of a t-shirt bearing her name and likeness, Shania Twain congratulated the singer and claimed that she now felt like her "aunt."

The That Don't Impress Me Much singer, 58, made an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show on Tuesday and raved about another singer.

The Canadian celebrity responded when Drew inquired about her reaction to Taylor wearing her shirt, "Isn't she a doll?" I feel like I'm her aunt or something," Shania said as the emcee lauded Taylor for being a great role model for girls.

"We have a lot of things going for us. In any case, it's awesome. I thought that was thoughtful of her," the singer continued.

Swift's work ethic was commended by Shania, who described her as a "hard worker."

The pressure on any young artist in her position is immense, and she just manages to go through it so, seemingly so effortlessly, but we all know that it takes a lot of effort. I actually have a lot of respect and compassion for her overall. extensive work. She works very, very hard.

On October 3rd, Swift, whose new infatuation with football player Travis Kelce has garnered national notice, wore the grey Daydreamer tee, which has a suggested retail price of $88 and features Twain's 1995 "Any Man Of Mine" artwork.

Taylor wore the tee as she entered a recording studio, perhaps seeking some musical inspiration from Shania. While traveling to the legendary Electric Lady Studios, where musicians like Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Wonder have recorded, she displayed her distinctive legs in a pair of tiny, clinging black bicycle shorts. Fans have hypothesized that Swift's highly anticipated 1989 (Taylor's Version) album, which is scheduled for release on October 27, may be referenced in the t-shirt.

In 2002, Shania published two versions of her album Up!, one for the mainstream audience and one for the country audience. Many people have speculated that Swift may follow suit. It will be Swift's fourth album that has been re-recorded.

After Justin Bieber's manager Scooter Braun purchased Big Machine Records and her collection of master recordings in 2019, the celebrity first declared that she would re-record previous versions of her albums. Taylor claimed she had sought for years to have her work back but had only been given the chance to sign back up with Big Machine Records and 'earn' back every album by creating another album on the same day that Braun's contract was announced.

Three of Swift's albums-Fearless, Red, and Speak Now-were redone, and they were given new titles by appending "Taylor's Version" at the end.

Because she wrote the songs for her CDs and holds the publishing rights to them, she is able to legally re-record them. The Eras Tour, the pop star's sixth concert tour, revisits all of her musical eras and albums, including the ones she re-recorded.

Shania has long been a favorite of the 12-time Grammy winner, and earlier this year she was even invited to join her on tour. Thelma and Louise spoof was again filmed by the women in 2011 for the CMT Awards.
